I love my Neti Pot

Look at this two posts in a day. I have the time, and have things to talk about so why not. Allergy/sinus season as been horrible for me. I actually suffer all year long, but the last few weeks have been not so great. I don't usually get the nasal problems, but lately I have. When this happens, I rely on my neti pot.

I know it looks like a gravy boat, and I suppose if you don't have one of these you could use a gravy boat. I first heard about this on the Oprah show years ago. My mom and mother-in-law had one and said they worked great. I guess if you use it almost everyday, you can almost make your symptoms go away. I don't and so that is probably my problem. It takes a bit of getting used to. You fill the container with a salt like solution and warm water. You then pour the water up one nostril and tilt your head just so, so that it comes out your other nostril. At times it feels like you are drowning, but when you get used to it, it is the best thing ever. You then repeat on the other nostril. When I am sick I do this several times a day. I don't know if that is recommended, but it works for me. It really helps me to breath. I also like that it is natural and not some drug to take. I am on eye drops twice a day for my itchy, watery eyes, and other allergy drugs don't work for me so this is it. To all of my allergy/ sinus cold suffering friends, I would give it a try.
